ABOUT
Artist Statement
The theme of my artistic endeavors lies in the interpretation of literary works and the extraction of zeitgeist. My first project, "Visual Interpretation," aims to visually translate literature, while my second project, "Zeitgeist Capture," captures the spirit of the times through photography. Although these projects employ different approaches, they both serve the common purpose of offering new insights and empathetic experiences to people through visual media.
Visual Interpretation
"Visual Interpretation" is an art project that translates and interprets literary works and other media through visual representation using photography. This method focuses on translating the worldviews and themes of works into photographs, adding new visual dimensions to them, and examining how these impact the audience.
Zeitgeist Capture
"Zeitgeist Capture" is an art project designed to extract the spirit of the times, or "Zeitgeist," from street landscapes. Following more intuition than a planned approach, seemingly casual scenes and people’s figures can later become iconic records of the times. Often, the moments I capture are not accompanied by any particular intention or plan, but each accumulated photograph reveals fragments of an era. This collection includes diverse elements such as social movements, specific events, and era-specific customs.
Works

Hard-boiled Wonderland
"Hard-Boiled Wonderland" is based on Haruki Murakami's novel "Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World." In this project, I have selected symbolic items and settings from the novel and presented them in a card format. This portfolio received the highest acclaim from visitors at the 2023 exhibition "Me and 99 Others."
2021
The second Summer
The theme for 2021 was Tokyo under the influence of the postponed Olympics.
2022
Generation Z
The works of 2022 focus on the impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine on the world and particularly on Generation Z, who will most likely be the most affected by it.
